Buying your first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu GI shouldn't be complicated. Here's what actually matters.
Weave & weight
Most training GIs use a pearl weave — light enough for daily rolls, durable enough to last. Heavier weaves feel rugged but run hot; lighter ones dry faster and make weight cuts easier.
Fit & sizing (A0–A5)
A GI that's too big bunches under grips; too small and it rides up. Use the brand's height/weight chart and remember cotton shrinks slightly on the first few washes — size at the top of your range, then wash in cold.
Color
White, blue and black are IBJJF-legal for competition. If you only buy one, start with white — it pairs with any belt and any academy.
Every Worios GI is pearl-weave, IBJJF / NABJJF / UAEJJF approved, and available in kids and adult sizing. Train in it, don't baby it.
